Every student learns differently. Therefore, each student will complete a Learning Style Inventory so that we can develop for them an appropriate strategy for learning and retaining information.
Life skills are crucial tools needed to ultimately succeed in life. Therefore, we will focus on the following 13 life skills to prepare our youth for future success: Money or Budgeting Skills; Dressing for Success; Personal Healthcare; Social Skills and Manners; Etiquette; Organizational Skills; Communication Skills; Behavioral Skills; Coping with Emotions; Problem-solving Skills; Goal Setting; Time Management; and Relationship Management
ACT and SAT assessments remain the standard for college admissions. Periodically, Knowledge for College offers both one-on-one and group intensive weekend sessions to those preparing for standardized tests. Imagine standing in front of Clark Atlanta’s drumline, or inside of NCAT’s newly renovated Mechanical Engineering Program, or touring the dorm of the United States Vice President, Kamala Harris at Howard University. Twice per year, Knowledge for College takes a first-class 5-day/4-night Historically Black College and University College Tour. Students who’ve attended have received college application fee waivers, official college tours, scholarships, and a life-changing experience. A participation fee is required.
