The tutoring offered by Knowledge for College helped my son as he entered high school. The transition from middle to high school was not just a challenge academically for my child, but socially as well. Having strong mentors helped my son feel like he had a place and accelerated his level of learning.
The directors and staff are huge believers in pursuing a college degree. Everything from simple talks, college tours, or just encouraging words have propelled my daughter, Miracle, to do just that. She is now a product of their program, studying at Francis Marion University
The college tour helped me to know more about our church youth and get to know some things they like to do outside of the church. I was very impressed with the information about the schools and personal testimonials from the actual college students about their college experiences
During my Sophomore and Junior years of high school, I attended the Knowledge for College HBCU college tours. Some of the schools we visited include North Carolina A&T University, Clark Atlanta University, and Howard University, which were my favorites. The college tours definitely encouraged me to attend college after I graduated high school back in 2019. I am very thankful for the scholarships I received because it helped me purchase books for school. Right now I am a Senior and I will be graduating in December of 2021. This is a phenomenal program and I was glad to be a part of it.
I really enjoyed the college tour. The exposure to the variety of schools and their college life helped me to get great information to help me decide on my college of choice after high school graduation.
I am so thankful to be gifted with this scholarship. This program has supported me throughout my high school years, and it feels good to know that they are still supporting me now. Although I didn’t attend an HBCU it was a good experience to see what there is beyond South Carolina. This scholarship was a big help this semester as I was able to purchase all of my books and improve my dorm room. I am so glad I was granted this gift and I’m very thankful to those who chose me
I'm glad my daughter had the opportunity to attend the last college tour. She really had a wonderful experience and even decided to attend one of the schools visited. I highly recommend this program because the coordinators really care about our children and their future success.
My favorite school on our college tour was North Carolina A & T. I really loved the campus. It was very nice and friendly. I liked their Gospel Choir and the classes they offered, especially ROTC.
I would like to express my gratitude formally and sincerely for the amazing opportunity the Knowledge for College foundation has given to me. Thank you for believing in my capabilities and seeing me as an academical success. I am thrilled to have such an amazing organization supporting me and also helping me along the way as I begin my journey at Winthrop University. Again, thank you for playing a prodigious part in my journey to success.
